Development of LFT Systems

We develop and deliver an LFT system concept tailored to your requirements, completely from one source, from material development to testing and commissioning at your site.
Systems for fibre contents of up to 60 wt.% and throughput rates of up to 1,000 kg/h can be realised.
All common thermoplastics up to bioplastics such as PLA (polylactide) serve as matrix. Glass, steel or carbon fibres are used as reinforcing fibres.
The central component of the system is a high-performance compounding extruder, integrated according to our recommendation or according to your ideas. Mixing and dosing of up to nine components is possible.
In this way, a wide variety of individual formulations of the polymer matrix can be produced very flexibly directly in the process. Recycling material and additional fillers can also be integrated into the material recipe.

Our LFT plant technology is suitable for the production of a wide range of materials with different fibre reinforcements and a diverse polymer matrix, which is also processed directly during LFT production.
from QII 2024, we offer a fully equipped technical laboratory for testing and developing long-fibre reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) in granulate form, as strands, as profiles for direct extrusion and as directly extruded UD (unidirectionally reinforced) tapes.
Even the technically difficult combination of carbon fibre with PP can be reliably realised. An extensively equipped, versatile pultrusion line is available in the technical centre for application-specific customer trials as well as for basic process and material development.
