The Bekum insertion and robot technology allows three-dimensional blow-moulded parts such as 3D filler necks and air ducts to be produced economically and with virtually no waste. Identical processes in the 1st and 2nd station ensure a high repetition accuracy when doing so. The distribution of the layer thickness is optimised by using a 7-layer spiral mandrel extrusion head. This processes the plastic material with high precision, and minimises the need for the cost-intensive barrier material EVOH. An important feature for ensuring flexibility in production is offered by simultaneous production of two different articles on each clamping unit.
